Trilux 33: is a tin-free antifouling specifically formulated with Biolux Technology, to give highly effective antifouling protection in all waters. The slow polishing formula is suitable for use on aluminium craft, outdrives and outboards and any substrate where bright colours or a bright white antifouling is required. Preparation: NEWBUILDING Dependent upon yard procedures, consult International Technical Representative.
MAJOR REFURBISHMENT The first coat of Trilux 33: should always be applied over a recommended anticorrosive
primer system. The primer surface should be dry and free of all contaminants (oil, grease, salt etc) and overcoated with
Trilux 33: within the overcoating interval specified for the primer.
REPAIR and UPGRADING APPROVED SYSTEMS Degrease the surface. Clean the entire area with controlled high
pressure washing (3000 psi./211 bar). Repair corroded areas with the recommended anticorrosive primer system
(Primocon or Intertuf 203).
Method: Ensure the area is clean and dry. Apply Trilux 33: by airless spray within the overcoating intervals specified by the
primer. Apply an extra stripe coat in areas of high wear such as chines, rudders, sterngear and any leading edges.
Note: Maximum Time to Immersion is 1 month. If coating is left for more than 1 month, the surface should be high pressure
fresh water washed or wet abraded using 180-240 grade paper prior to immersion.

Thinning Thinning is not recommended. Thin 10% maximum.

Airless Spray Pressure: 176-210 bar. Tip Size: 2180.
Other Take care to apply all the paint calculated even if it means applying an extra coat. It is important for performance
to apply the correct thickness.
Some Important Points: If Trilux 33: is exposed for any period of time, e.g. over the winter, it must be high pressure fresh water washed before being immersed. Product temperature should be minimum 5°C/41°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Ambient temperature should be minimum 10°C/50°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Substrate temperature should be 3°C/5°F above dew point and maximum 35°C/95°F.
Compatibility/Substrates: Can be applied over Superyacht 800 and 900 Antifoulings worldwide and most tin copolymers. For further details on compatibility consult International Technical Representatives. Prime non-antifoulings with Primocon, Intertuf JVA202 or Interprotect.
Exposure to air and extremes of temperature should be avoided. For the full shelf life of Trilux 33: to be realised ensure
that between use the container is firmly closed and the temperature is between 5°C/41°F and 35°C/95°F. Keep out of
Trilux 33: should be kept in securely closed containers during transport and storage.
Antifoulings should only be wet sanded. Never dry sand or burn-off old antifoulings. Read the label safety section for

Do not discard tins or pour paint into water courses, use the facilities provided. It is best to allow paints to harden before
Remainders of Trilux 33: cannot be disposed of through the municipal waste route or dumped without permit. Disposal of
remainders must be arranged for in consultation with the authorities.
